Typhoon Podul makes landfall in Taiwan

Typhoon Podul, the 11th typhoon of the season, made landfall in Taiwan, China, on Wednesday around 1 p.m.

The storm was expected to hit the densely populated western coast before heading toward China's southern Fujian Province.
