Jieyang (ECNS) -- China's first Boeing 787 Dreamliner arrived at Jieyang Chaoshan Airport in Guangdong province Tuesday morning, starting a two-day test flight before starting service.

The Dreamliner, with a wingspan of 60.12 meters, length of 56.72 meters and height of 16.92 meters, can accommodate 228 passengers. It arrived in Guangzhou from Seattle on Sunday.

Jieyang Chaoshan Airport was selected by China Southern Airlines, the first Chinese carrier to use the 787 Dreamliner, for good navigation clearance and facilities.

The airport said they have completed preparations for the test flight.

The Dreamliner will go back to Guangzhou on Wednesday and will start service on the Guangzhou-Beijing route Thursday.

The carrier plans to put the aircraft on international routes in the future.
