Beijing (CNS) -- Altogether 28 out of 50 samples of children's clothing failed to meet quality standards in the latest inspection, the China Consumers Association said on Thursday.

The association has conducted a quality inspection of children's clothing for four consecutive years.

The inspection covered 50 samples from 12 different stores in Beijing. The sampled clothing was produced domestically, as well in Ukraine, India, Indonesia and Bengal.

The problems among the 28 samples were related to fibers, dyes, intensity, PH value and usage instruction.

Experts say parents should be aware of the potential hazards of children's clothing.
