Tianjin (CNS) -- China's first luxury cruise liner, the Henna, started on the Tianjin-South Korea route on Wednesday.
A sailing ceremony was held after the Henna arrived at Tianjin International Cruise Home Port.
HNA Tourism Cruise and Yacht Management, owner and operator of the liner, said the Henna will operate on the Tianjin-South Korea route from May to October to meet the demands of cruise tourism in China's northeast and east regions.
The vessel, 223 meters by 31 meters, has 739 cabins for 1,965 passengers, as well as a full range of living and entertainment facilities.
Tianjin International Cruise Home Port in Tanggu District, Asia's largest port, has provided service to more than 100 of the world's luxury cruise ships.
