Beijing (CNS) -- China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) launched a website Friday to combat Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) violations.

Friday was World Intellectual Property Day.

The website, www.cn12330.cn, is aimed at cracking down on infringement and counterfeit products as well as raising the public's awareness through disclosing typical fraud cases and spreading knowledge about intellectual property, the office said.

It also encourages the public to report IPR violations and asks for help from experts.

On launch day, the website exposed a series of violations, such as patent certificates being sold on Taobao, known as the eBay of China, unauthorized videos over the Internet and selling knockoffs of famous watch brands.

 Shapely women.
