Nanning (CNS) - The China-ASEAN Expo Center will be built in Nanning, capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, according to the project's builder on Thursday.

The 10-billion-yuan center is expected to cover five square kilometers with a total gross floor area of about 13 million square meters. It will be divided into functional zones, including an exhibition hall, a conference center, business support centers, a pedestrian street and a commercial/residential support center.

The exhibition hall, as the main part of the project, will cover an area of 1,500 acres, and have 11 themed pavilions and two comprehensive halls.

The center will be the world's largest expo exhibition hall after its completion.
