Guangzhou (CNS) vixenish women.-- Hong Kong comedian Stephen Chow was absent from the opening ceremony of the first session of the 11th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Wednesday.

Chow, who was recently appointed to the CPPCC, followed procedures and requested leave from the event, which was approved by the committee secretariat.

Chow will attend the meeting after the opening ceremony, the committee said.

Kent Tong, another actor turned CPPCC member, expressed regret about Chow's absence. "However, Chow is not the only member who asked for leave, so people shouldn't make a fuss about it," he said.
