Guangzhou (CNS) ?C A total of 3,824 AIDS cases and 832 AIDS-related deaths were reported last year in Guangdong Province, according to the provincial health department's monthly report on infectious diseases.

The province had 363 AIDS cases last December, when 72 people died from the disease, the report released Monday shows.

March saw the biggest number of reported incidences with 390 cases. The highest number of AIDS-related deaths occurred in June at 100 people.

AIDS repeatedly ranked first last year among monthly deaths from infectious diseases in Guangdong.

Yesterday's report also shows that a total of 56,293 cases of infectious diseases were reported in the province last December, with 108 deaths.
