Beijing (CNS) -- The number of cities with increased home prices hit a new high in November compared to previous months this year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.

A total of 53 out of 70 large- and medium-sized cities reported increased property prices, up from 35 in October.

Only 21 cities saw home prices rise between January and May, followed by 25 in June and 50 in July, according to official statistics.

The government will continue its property market controls next year, said a statement released at the top economic conference that ended Sunday.
