Gaomi (CNS) -- The days are getting colder, so fewer tourists are visiting Mo Yan's old house, according to Mo's second-oldest brother Guan Moxin.

Life has finally returned to normal, Guan said Tuesday from the house in Gaomi, Shandong province.

Since Mo won the Nobel Prize, crowds of reporters and tourists have flooded the place, and in the past month my neighbors have called me a professional tour guide, said Guan.

Chinanews.com found that a courtyard wall damaged by tourists had been repaired and that Mo's things been placed in the east room. A marble sign with the words "Mo Yan's Old House" was on the wall.

The house was built in 1912, and Mo spent 22 years here from his birth to joining the army, said Guan.
