Baoding (CNS)-- The periodical "Lian Chi" which contains Nobel Laureate Mo Yan's first work was unveiled in Baoding, Hebei Province, on Monday.

Senior editors of the bimonthly journal praised Mo as a man with a grateful heart.

Mo's work "Rain Falling Thick and Fast in the Spring Night" ("Chunye Yufeifei") was published in the journal in 1981.

Ren Shiyu, a senior editor at the journal, showed letters from Mo to Mao Zhaohuang, who edited Mo's story. Mo expressed respect and gratitude for Mao as a tutor.
