Beijing (CNS) -- Two iPhone 5 models received network access licenses from China's Telecommunications Equipment and Certification Center (TENAA) on Thursday.
One of the approved devices bearing the model number "A1429" is built for a WCDMA 3G network, while the other model "A1442" is built for a CDMA2000 3G network, according to the TENAA website.
The two models will be sold respectively by China Unicom and China Telecom, with contract phones priced at 5,780 yuan and non-contract phones at 5,399 yuan.
The phones will arrive between December 12 and 15, according to the customer service center of China Unicom.
Fans have estimated that the phones will come onto the mainland market on December 21.
The iPhone 5 was released on September 12 and received 3C approval in China on September 26.
