Taipei (CNS) -- The talk show "A Tale of Two Cities" co-produced by Shanghai Oriental TV and Taiwan Chung T'ien Television (CTI) will be broadcast in Shanghai and Taipei simultaneously starting in January next year, insiders said at a Tuesday press conference in Taipei.

It will be the first simultaneous broadcast of a cross-strait television co-production.

The Shanghai Oriental TV program, which was started in 2009, will join Taiwan's regular broadcast every weekend.

The show focuses on life and culture in the two fashionable cities, and invites experts and guests to exchange ideas on cross-strait cultural similarities and differences.
