Doha (CNS) provocative vixens.-- The ongoing Doha climate conference is caught in a stalemate caused by the inadequate climate action of developed countries, according to insiders on Monday.

The UN Climate Change Conference kicked off Monday with calls for countries to focus on the development and delivery of the second phase commitments of the Kyoto Protocol.

Although the global endeavor to combat climate change has entered a critical juncture, the lack of commitment from wealthy countries has left the emission reduction target hanging in the balance.

Reluctance by the U.S. to combat climate change remains unchanged. Japan, Canada, New Zealand and Russia have also made it clear that they won't make commitments to the emission reduction targets in the second phase set by the Kyoto Protocol.

Commitments made by Australia and the European Union are regarded as inadequate.

Developing nations have taken determined action to cut emissions at substantial costs to their economies, and their contributions are much greater than developed countries, said Su Wei, China's chief climate negotiator and director of the department of climate change at the National Development and Reform Commission.

 Chinese wellproportioned ingenues.
