Zhuhai (CNS) -- A full-size model of a China-made high bypass ratio turbofan was unveiled in Zhuhai on Monday, one day before the opening of the Zhuhai Airshow.

The model of a jet engine was made by AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd. (ACAE), a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China founded in Shanghai in 2009.

Exhibited in the No.3 Hall, the model attracted much attention from industry peers at home and abroad.

Jet engine research, which is difficult, expensive and time consuming, has caused a bottleneck in China's development of aircraft.
