Haikou (CNS) ?C?C Solar panel companies in Hainan Province have reduced production since July due to anti-dumping investigations by the United States as well as the European Union, a local official said at a press conference on Tuesday.
Deputy Secretary-General of the provincial government Lin Tao also said that Hainan's solar panel manufacturers were saddled with slowing foreign trade growth due to sagging overseas demand.
The main export-oriented manufacturers in Hainan are Yingli Solar, which exported 60 percent of its production to the U.S. and the EU, and Hanergy Holding Group.
The U.S. Department of Commerce issued the final decision on anti-dumping earlier this month, which has had a huge impact on the Chinese solar panel industry.
