Taiyuan (CNS) -- Aggregate value added tax (VAT) of Shanxi Province's coal sector hit 3.67 billion yuan in September, down 28.13 percent, according to statistics released by provincial authorities on Monday.
It is the third monthly successive slide for the Shanxi's coal VAT: the industry saw year-on-year decreases of 31.61 percent in August and 25.53 percent in July.
The stored VAT of 356 companies experienced negative growth last month, accounting for 62 percent of the coal firms in the province.
Even though the country's economy is now stable, our province's pillar coal industry will remain sluggish, said Du Feibiao, a local official.
