Shanghai (CNS) -- The strong cold front that has swept across Shanghai Municipality since late Tuesday restricted the movements of many ships at Shanghai Port on Wednesday.

The meteorological authority released a strong wind warning, saying that gales reaching levels 7 to 8 will sweep across the city, with coastal sea areas to reach level 9.

Many ships have stayed at the port to avoid windy weather and incoming ships have also cancelled their plans.
