Taipei (CNS) ?C The Western Triangle economic zone has become the first choice for Taiwanese enterprises when they invest in the mainland, according to a report released Monday by the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association.

The Western Triangle is mainly formed by Chengdu in Sichuan Province, Xi'an in Shaanxi Province and Chongqing Municipality.

Taiwanese companies should realize that the Western Triangle zone is becoming a core force to promote China's economy, so they should grasp the opportunity, said Horng-Der Leu, an expert from Taiwan's Chung Yuan Christian University.

Sichuan Province has attracted the most Taiwanese enterprises in West China so far.
