Shanghai (CNS) -- About 50 enterprises focused on finance leasing had stationed in Shanghai's Free Trade Zones as of Thursday.

Leasable assets include 35 civil airliners, six helicopters, four ocean-going vessels and other large equipment, all worth a total of US$2.5 billion.

"Wanbang Jiatai Finance Lease (Shanghai) Company," a joint venture between the US and Singapore, is one of the companies to recently set up in Shanghai.

We plan to shift our business focus to the finance leasing of large equipment, said Mark Iwanski, general manager of the company.

Finance leasing accounts for one-third of the global investment and financing market.
