Shanghai (CNS) ?C The overseas businesses of Chinese enterprises have become their overall motivating force for growth, according to a report released Wednesday by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Global Entrepreneur magazine.

The report analyzed the financial statements of 50 large Chinese enterprises, including Lenovo, Huawei, Tencent, ZTE, the China National Offshore Oil Corp and Baosteel Group.

Their overseas business revenues rose to 27% in 2011 from 22% in 2010, an increase that surpassed all other revenue sources, the report said.

Overseas investment by Chinese enterprises reached 65.1 billion dollars, said the report.
