Chengdu (CNS) ?C The giant panda named "Jiaozi" gave birth to a female cub at 7:22 p.m. Tuesday at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the base said Wednesday.
Jiaozi was born on August 21, 1995, the offspring of mother "Bing Bing" and father "Lin Nan." Jiaozi has given birth to six litters with seven cubs, six of which survived.
Jiaozi was artificially inseminated on March 13 this year. The staff said both the mother and baby are doing well.
