Changchun (CNS) -- State-owned enterprises and state-holding enterprises continue to play a dominant role, yet private sector revenue and assets grew faster, according to the 2012 China Top 500 Enterprises List released Saturday in Changchun.
SOE revenue hit 36.8 trillion yuan, up 22.21 percent over 2011, and net profits reached 2.1 trillion, with a year-on-year growth of 22.81 percent, the report said.
Sinopec, China National Petroleum Corporation and the State Grid firmly occupy the top three.
All companies must report annual revenue higher than 17.5 billion yuan to make it onto the list. Of them, 107 reported revenues of over 100 billion yuan, including 15 private enterprises.
It is the eleventh annual report published by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association.
