The move will attract more migrant workers back to Zhengzhou, said Lin Zhenghun, general manager of the plant.
The workers' base wage has been increased from 1,550 yuan to 1,800 per month during a probation period of three months, which was previously six months, said Lin.
He said they will put more effort into automation and raising efficiency to ease the pressure caused by growing labor costs.
