Beijing (CNS) ?C The overseas assets of Sinopec have exceeded 600 billion yuan (US$94.7 billion), the company's chairman Fu Chengyu said Wednesday.

"At present, investment, trade and engineering services of Sinopec have been distributed in 55 countries and regions all over the world, and our overseas staff has exceeded 30,000 people. More than 80 percent of them are locals," Fu said at the second Chinese Enterprises Outbound Investment Conference.

"The international business of Sinopec has continually improved," Fu said, adding that overseas assets increased to 36.6 percent in 2011 from 10.6 percent in 2005.
