Beijing (CNS) -- China will accelerate construction of a national health care system and speed up reform of public hospitals at the county level, said Health Minister Chen Zhu at a training session on Friday.

Medical reform in the past three years has achieved short-term results, Chen said, adding that an institutional framework for basic health care in cities and villages has been built.

Chen said medical reform should cover 10 fields, including rural doctors, private capital for hospital construction, information sharing and stronger regulations to ensure the safety of medical services.
