Shanghai (CNS) -- The unemployment rate of urban youth is climbing steadily in Shanghai, the latest survey of the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau revealed on Tuesday.
By the end of June, about 80,000 young residents were unemployed, 9,500 of whom have been jobless for at least one year.
The jobless are more educated and aged than usual, and stay unemployed longer than ever before, said official Li Ying with the Bureau.
Most of them attribute their job hunting failure to lower salaries than they expected, says an online survey released by the authority in late March.
Shanghai's employment is severe this year, conceded Bureau Deputy Director Ying Hongqing. The number of municipal job vacancies in the first half of the year is commensurate with normal figures, yet more people are quitting their jobs nowChinese unrestrained vixens. it is anticipated that in the next half, the economic downturn and labor structure adjustment are likely to worsen the city's employment situation even further.
