Dongguan (CNS) ?C Three men were sentenced from six to fifteen years in prison and fined 50,000 to half a million yuan for counterfeiting 100-yuan notes with a face value of six million, the No.2 People's Court of Dongguan City disclosed on July 4.
The three men bought bargain-priced counterfeit notes and started to ease them into the market in August, 2010.
On June 30, the trio were apprehended when they were closing a deal in Chang'an Town, Dongguan city. Police also seized some fake banknotes starting with the serial number KJ3263, with a face value of over three million yuan.
