Xi'an (Chinanews.com) -- A tomb built for Zhou nobility during the Western Zhou Dynasty 1046?C771 BC was discovered in Baoji, Shaanxi Province on Thursday, confirmed the local archaeological official Liu Junshe on Saturday.

More than 20 pieces of bronze ware, including wine vessels, harnesses and weapons, have been unearthed so far.

Baoji is a town historically famous for ancient Chinese bronzeware, in terms of both the number and quality of relic discoveries.

This big batch of large and fine relics is deemed one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in 30 years, as the findings are rare in all categories of the same era.

The same location where the precious relics were spotted has yielded 129 sets of 188 relics in March and April.
