Xi'an (CNS) -- China has delivered more than 70 civil aircraft of its own brand, the Modern Ark 60 (MA-60) deployed on over 200 routes across Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Commonwealth of the Independent States. A celebration of the achievement was held on Saturday.

Produced by the Xi'an Aircraft International Corporation (XAIC), the Modern Ark is the only Chinese civil airplane to break into the international airline market. On May 23, XAIC signed an agreement with the MARS company of Ukraine that marks its entry into the European market.

Southeast Asia is still XAIC's most important market, referring to Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines and Myanmar specifically.
