Urumqi (CNS) seductive ladies.-- An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit Luntai County of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region at 5:51 a.m. (Beijing time) today, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.

The quake's epicenter was located at 42.2 degrees north latitude and 84.2 degrees east longitude, the center said. The focal depth was 20 kilometers.

No casualties or property losses have been reported.

Luntai County is located in northern Xinjiang between Tianshan Mountain and the Tarim Basin.
