Beijing (CNS) -- The 2012 China Contemporary Ceramic Painting Art Exhibition opened at the Art Museum of China in Beijing. Sponsored by the China International Culture Association, it runs for a week starting June 6.
It is focused on displaying what is unique about Chinese culture to the world, said Zhao Shaohua, vice minister, Ministry of Culture.
Ceramic painting has remained an independent art form in the history and development of ceramic art, and it is the area of ceramics in which innovation just keeps happening. Zhao appealed to contemporary artists to fuel that innovative spirit.
This collection includes artworks from the greats such as Jiang Baolin, a master of Chinese landscape painting and ink-wash drawingKorean Petite sirens.
