Xichang (CNS) -- China will launch two communication satellites, two remote sensing satellites, and one Luxemburg satellite for marine monitoring, all for international clients and commercial use. The satellites will be put into orbit by the Long March-2D rocket, announced Yin Liming, an official at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC).

Yin made the remark on the occasion of the successful launch of a Nigerian communication satellite aboard a Chinese Long March rocket on Tuesday.

So far, CASTC has sent 39 of its own commercial satellites into space and provided six carrier rocket services to other countries on 33 occasions. The China-Nigeria cooperation will continue, and second and third launches are already foreseen.

Morocco, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia all have all demonstrated their intention to develop aerospace ties with China.
