Shanghai (CNS) -- An aircraft maintenance license was issued to the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre to manage and operate the business aviation base at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport by the East China Regional Administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China on November 8.
It's the first corporate aircraft maintenance license granted to an independent third party in Chinese mainland. The base is officially acknowledged of providing aircraft maintenance and overall services.
With a terminal covering 3,100 square meters, a warehouse of 4,000 square meters, as well as a building dedicated to maintenance and a parking apron of 2,000 square meters, the base is expected to o serve over 40 corporate aircraft every year.
By October, the number of movements of corporate aircraft reached almost 2,900 at Shanghai's two main airports – Hongqiao and Pudong, about one-third of the mainland's total, up about 25% year-on-year.
