Wenzhou (CNS) -- A case, which involves about 800 million yuan (about 126 million USD) and hundreds of bank cards, is under investigation, the Yongjia Public Security Bureau in Wenzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, said on October 31.

A total credit value of more than 800 million yuan was reported to the police, said Huang Yipeng, deputy chief of the local bureau. Two suspects, Shi Xiaojie, a cashier at the construction contractor Shunji Group, and her husband remained silent about where the money had gone, added Huang.

The case involves almost all local banks, according to a source who is familiar with the case.

The case, once again, reminds the public of the recent Wenzhou private loan crisis, in which several private business owners committed suicide and some ran away because they failed to pay off high-interest private loans.
