China stocks open lower Tuesday

Chinese stocks opened lower on Tuesday morning, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index sharply down 1.35 percent, or 42.37 points at 3,085.08 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 10,549.98 points, down 0.55 percent, or 58.54 points.
