China stocks close above key mark

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed above a key psychological level on Thursday, rising 20.32 points, or 0.93 percent, to close at 2,201.56 points towards a bullish performance this week.

The Shenzhen Component Index jumped 103.68 points, or 1.32 percent to close at 7,956.91 points.
