Microsoft's Chat robot revives

Microsoft China announced on Wednesday that its chat robot Xiaobing has been revived on the Sina Weibo platform on Wednesday.

The virtual chat robot has been banned by Weixin, Tencent's very popular instant messaging application, since early June over data security concerns.

Xiaobing is an intelligent chat robot developed by the Microsoft Bing team in China.

Besides chatting, it offers other practical services including an encyclopedia, weather reports, and traffic guidance.
