China stocks close lower Wednesday

Chinese shares closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.54 percent, or 11.18 points, to finish at 2,055.52.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.46 percent, or 33.98 points, to close at 7,297.4.
