Chinese stocks close lower Thursday

Chinese shares closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 3.23 points, or 0.16 percent, to finish at 2,051.71.

The Shenzhen Component Index declined 40.87 points, or 0.56 percent, to close at 7,299.81.
