Chinese stocks close higher Monday

Chinese shares closed slightly higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.34 percent, or 6.91 points, to finish at 2,041.48.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.47 percent, or 34.18 points, to close at 7,275.11.
