Chinese stocks close 1.62 pct lower Monday

Chinese shares closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.62 percent, or 33.03 points, to finish at 2,003.49.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.14 percent, or 83.19 points, to close at 7,240.46.
