Chinese shares fell nearly two percent on Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.80 percent, or 37.43 points, to finish at 2,045.71.
The Shenzhen Component Index declined 2.61 percent, or 209.87 points, to close at 7,818.46.
