Chinese stocks close higher on Monday

Chinese shares closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.87 percent, or 61.39 points, to close at 2,197.22.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 2.62 percent, or 217.85 points, to finish at 8,523.75.
