China stocks open lower Thursday

Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.14 percent, or 2.98 points, to open at 2,136.63.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.12 percent, or 9.97 points, to open at 8,277.89.
