China stocks open higher Monday

Chinese stocks opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.3 percent, or 6.53 points, to open at 2,156.09.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.49 percent, or 41.59 points, to open at 8,493.31.
