Chinese shares close lower on Tuesday

Chinese shares closed lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.19 percent, or 4.36 points, to finish at 2,233.41.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.68 percent, or 59.76 points, to finish at 8,700.35.
