Hong Kong stocks fell 334.86 points, or 1.53 percent, to close at 21,588.84 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 21,901.46 and 21,571.15. Turnover totaled 51.78 billion HK dollars (about 6.67 billion U.S. dollars).
