Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

Chinese shares closed higher Tuesday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index increased 0.49 percent, or 10.02 points, to end at 2,060.50.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.03 percent, or 82.74 points, to 8,143.13.
