Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

Chinese shares closed higher on Tuesday as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.14 percent, or 3.08 points, to end at 2,159.29.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.79 percent, or 66.37 points, to 8,470.87.
